What this phone number checker does
Paste or type a phone number into the field and this checker tells you what it is: it reads the country calling code, names the country, compares the number of digits with the national numbering rules for that country and prints the number as E.164 (the format used in databases and APIs), as an international number and in its national shape. National numbers are also supported: pick your country in the dropdown and a number such as 0170 1234567 is recognised and converted. The checker validates the structure and the length of a number — it cannot tell you whether the line exists, is currently assigned or reachable, and it does not send anything to a server. Everything is computed locally in your browser, with no signup and no upload.
