Where the answers come from Your browser sends each query over DNS-over-HTTPS (DoH) to the resolver you selected and prints its reply unchanged. This site does not run a resolver and does not log lookups. A resolver caches answers for the record's TTL, so a fresh change may still show the old value.
What this DNS lookup actually does
This tool sends a live DNS query for the hostname you type and prints exactly what the resolver answers — nothing is simulated and no sample data is shown. Choose a record type: A for IPv4 addresses, AAAA for IPv6, MX for mail routing, TXT for SPF, DKIM and DMARC entries, NS for nameservers, CNAME for aliases, SOA for the zone authority, CAA for allowed certificate authorities, SRV for service locations or PTR for a reverse lookup of an IP address. Each answer row shows the record owner, the record type, the remaining TTL in seconds and the record data, together with the response code (NOERROR, NXDOMAIN, SERVFAIL) and whether the answer was DNSSEC-validated. That makes it a quick check before you move a website to a new host, before you debug a mail problem or when you want to confirm that a freshly published TXT record is really visible. Queries travel from your browser to Google Public DNS or Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 over DNS-over-HTTPS; this site runs no resolver of its own and stores no lookups. Because every resolver caches answers, a record you changed a minute ago can still appear with its old value until the TTL runs out — this is a single-resolver view, not a worldwide propagation check.
Was dieser DNS-Lookup wirklich macht
